Apple Maple Chops

This apple and maple pork chops recipe is one of my family's favorites—my children just love it so much. The pork is super tender and the maple syrup really makes the dish. It's so easy since it's made in the slow cooker! —Niki Schiefer, Attica, Ohio

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in center-cut pork loin chops (7 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt with parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and sliced

Directions

  • Pat pork chop dry with paper towel; in a large skillet heat oil over medium-high heat. Quickly cook pork chops until browned, 1-2 minutes per side; remove from pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Add apples and pork chops to 5-qt. slow cooker. Pour sauce mixture over top.
  • Cover and cook on low until meat is tender, for 3-4 hours.
