If there’s one thing Lay’s is known for, it’s dropping new flavors that absolutely blow our minds—and taste buds. In 2020, they released Salted Caramel potato chips, and for this year, they’ve already announced not one but three new flavors. Now, Lay’s is bringing a beloved Doritos flavor to its signature potato chip, and we couldn’t ask for a better mash-up.
Hello, Lay’s Cool Ranch Doritos Chips!
Each bag of Lay’s potato chips is coated with a dusting of Cool Ranch Doritos flavor, and honestly, this may be the best chip ever made. Yeah, we love our tortilla chips. But there’s something about the crunch of a potato chip that can’t be beat, and combined with the tangy Cool Ranch flavor, we might’ve just found the perfect summer snack.
This marriage of flavors is possible because parent company Frito-Lay owns both brands. It’s also not the only mash-up we expect to see this summer. We hear that Cheetos-flavored potato chips and Funyuns onion-flavored chips are on the horizon, too.

Lay’s Cool Ranch Doritos Chips have been spotted at Target, at $3.59 per bag. They’re only available for a limited time, though, so don’t forget to grab a bag before they’re out!
If you do manage to get your hands on a bag, don’t forget to use this hack to seal it for freshness—unless you finish the whole bag in one sitting, obviously. Of course, you could always use the new Lay’s flavor to make mashed potatoes with potato chips. Cool Ranch mashed potatoes—now there’s an idea!
