After a Peeps shortage in 2020, marshmallow Peeps are making a long-awaited return this Easter in all kinds of exciting flavors. This beloved Easter treat, which has been adapted for holidays all year long, has plenty of spinoffs this year. First, it was Kellogg’s Peeps Cereal for breakfast, now it’s Peeps “Cake in a Cup” for dessert!
What’s in the Peeps Easter Cake Kit?
This egg-citing kit includes a sunny yellow microwaveable mug adorned with Peeps chicks and bunnies, along with a marshmallow-flavored cake mix featuring…mini marshmallows! You mix up the Peeps cake batter, pop it in the microwave for a short amount of time and enjoy your own single-serve cake. What a treat!
The kits were spotted at Walmart by shopper @the210onfood, who posted a huge haul of Peeps treats on Instagram.

Even if you’re not into the microwaveable cake, the Peeps mug totally makes the purchase worth it. We’ve also got our eye on that Peeps pancake skillet!
Where Can I Get One?
You can snag a Peeps “Cake in a Cup” for $5 in Walmart stores or on Walmart’s website. It makes a great addition to Easter baskets for kids, or a sneaky dessert for parents. Be sure to check out the Easter candy aisle for Walmart’s exclusive Blue Raspberry Peeps, too.
