Costco Is Now Selling Strawberry-Filled French Brioche in Packs of 16 Loaves

Costco’s bakery department is known for decadent baked goods in all shapes and sizes. Recent finds include a massive four-pound pan of brownies, a multi-layered tuxedo mousse cake and a pumpkin spice loaf with cream cheese frosting. Now, Costco is treating us to strawberry-filled brioche loaves just in time for Valentine’s Day.

What’s in the Strawberry-Filled Brioche?

Brioche bread is deliciously sweet and fluffy thanks to the high butter content — which gives it a rich texture and golden brown color after baking. Instagrammer @Costco_doesitagain shared a photo of Costco’s newest bakery treat.

As you can imagine, Costco fans were excited to hear the news. “Just tried them today, they are VERY good and you can’t just eat one!!” shared one follower. “Yum! My kids love the chocolate filled ones. Will have to try the strawberries one” shared another. Not all the reviews were positive—”They’re like hot dog buns with jelly inside. The chocolate ones are way better!”—but we’re still willing to give them a try. You can enjoy your brioche for breakfast in the original French way or incorporate it into another sweet dish like this mixed berry french toast.

How Much Do They Cost?

Seasonal baked goods like this are part of what make a Costco membership worth every penny. These tasty mini loaves come in a pack of 16 for just $7.64. Unless you have a really large family, 16 loaves at one time may seem like a lot. The good news is that you can freeze some and save them for a later date when you want to treat yourself to something special. In fact, seasonal baked goods like this are part of what make a Costco membership worth it.
