Baking Is Now a Party—Because Nestle Just Released Disco Morsels Made with Edible Glitter

Have you ever asked yourself, “Will today be the day I combine my love of baking with my love of arts and crafts?”

If you have, boy do I have a surprise for you! While it’s possible you’re already a pro at decorating cakes (and using fondant), it’s never a bad time to add a new morsel to the lineup.

You’ve tried the espresso chips, the Funfetti morsels and the highly-coveted Baileys Irish cream chips—now get ready for something that will bring the party to your oven. I’m talking about glitter chips, baby!

Check the Sparkle on Disco Morsels!

Listen…we love Nestle. They’ve been our best baking bud for as long as we can remember, and especially so during this past year. Now they’re inspiring us to revisit our classic double-chocolate chunk cookie recipes and revamp them with some disco flair.

Officially titled the Disco Semi-Sweet Edible Glitter Morsels, these adorable chips of glimmering chocolate get their glam from, you guessed it, edible glitter. While it’s been a staple of decorative baking for a while, we don’t remember seeing it all over our favorite chocolate chips! Each bag is 5.5 ounces and has a good mix of both glitter-fied chips and good ol’ regular chips. They’re all made with 100% real chocolate and look absolutely fab.

While you can integrate these morsels into any recipe you choose (like pancakes and cupcakes, yum!), try them out in some baked goods with a darker batter. You know, like chocolate cupcakes, brownies and cookies of all kinds. You’ll have a party on your plate in no time!

Where Can I Buy Disco Morsels?

These fantastic finds are currently available at Walmart for around $2.50 per bag. We wouldn’t be surprised if these guys starting popping up at major retailers everywhere soon, though. How can you possibly ignore a bag of chocolate chips as marvelous as these? You may just want to put up a disco ball in your kitchen by the time you’re finished!
