This recipe makes enough ham sandwiches to feed a crowd and is so easy to put together. Have your butcher slice the ham very thin. I like to make this on the stovetop and serve it from my slow cooker. —Joyce Moynihan, Lakeville, Minnesota

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 cup yellow mustard
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 5 pounds shaved deli ham
  • 20 sandwich rolls, split

Directions

  • In a Dutch oven, combine the first 10 ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until butter is melted. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. Add ham; heat through. Serve on rolls.
