Disney Just Shared Its Official Recipe for Peppermint Marshmallow Wands

During the darkest days of the pandemic, Disney decided to spread the magic they’re known for to everyone staying at home. It’s not the same as actually being at the Disney parks, but we did the recipes for their famous churros, cool Dole whip and even Mickey Mouse pretzels.

Now that it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, Disney released a holiday recipe: peppermint marshmallow wands!

How to Make Peppermint Marshmallow Wands

These peppermint marshmallow wands come straight from the candy makers at Marceline’s Confectionery in Downtown Disney. (If you didn’t know, the candy shop is named after the Missouri town where Walt Disney lived as a child.)

You’ll need a few ingredients to get started:

  • 2 (12 ounce) jars hot caramel topping
  • 8 large lollipop sticks
  • 24 large marshmallows
  • 1 (10-ounce bag) dark melting chocolate
  • 1 cup crushed peppermints (15 candy canes, crushed)

You can find all the delicious details in the full recipe, but essentially you’re going to skewer the marshmallows, then dip them into the warm caramel, followed by a dunk in melted chocolate. Find the magic wands with a roll through the crushed candy.

The end result looks so festive that it will be hard to resist biting into one immediately, but Disney recommends cooling for 15 minutes or until the chocolate is set.

The Best Disney Christmas Recipes

To start, we love this cookie butter milkshake from the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. It’s even topped with a red and green cupcake! But unfortunately, most of us won’t be spending Christmas at Disney World. You can definitely indulge in some armchair travel and check out our list of the best food at Disney parks.

You can also gather the family together to whip up a Disney holiday charcuterie board. If you need us, we’ll be in the kitchen, wearing this Mickey-inspired gingerbread hat!
