Foregoing all the hustle and bustle this Christmas? Or maybe you don’t celebrate the holiday. Whatever the case, you don’t have to stay in. In fact, you can find a good handful of restaurants open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that are open on one or the other or both—though we recommend you call in advance just to be sure. To make a night of it, watch one of these holiday movies we love when you’re done.
Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse
Want to splurge on a nice steak dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? All these Ruth’s Chris Steakhouses will be open. Sizzler
For a nice steak dinner, Sizzler offers a less pricey alternative than Ruth’s Chris, and many Sizzler locations are open on Christmas.
Morton’s The Steakhouse

Del Frisco’s Steakhouse
“Out of all restaurants open on Christmas, Del Frisco’s is the only one to combine chef-driven cuisine, impeccable wines and exceptional hospitality to give you and your family an unparalleled holiday experience,” per its website. Del Frisco’s Christmas Day hours are 5:30 to 8 p.m. depending on your location. While you’re switching things up, take a look at some of these holiday traditions you’ll want to start.
Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse
Many of the 32 Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse restaurant locations located in the United States will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas and will be offering a special holiday menu. Check here to make sure your location is participating and for specific hours.
Ben’s Kosher Deli
Ben’s Kosher Deli has locations all around New York and Florida, though right now, they’re only filling their dining rooms to 50% capacity in light of COVID-19. The good news, though, is that they’re not only open throughout all the holidays, but they also will cater your holidays at home.
Golden Corral
Golden Corral is open for Christmas, but the hours at the specific locations vary. So, make sure to look up your local branch to learn the details before planning your Corral Christmas.
IHOP
Lucky for all you Milk ‘n’ Cookies Pancakes fans, IHOP will be open on Christmas 2020, though the holiday hours may vary by location. Marie Callendar’s
A message on the Marie Callendar’s website notes, “most of our restaurants are open on Christmas Day.” There are so many great holiday specials to choose from! However, you should check your local venue for hours, prices and participation. These Christmas ideas will make your holiday cheery and bright.
Buca di Beppo
Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurants open at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day. Enjoying seafood on during the holidays is a tradition called a Feast of Seven Fishes. Here’s how you can throw your own fish feast this year.
Boston Market
“Join us Christmas Day at select locations for a traditional, delicious plated holiday meal,” Boston Market says on its website. They’ll also deliver full meals to your door on Christmas, which you can order anytime between December 14 and January 1 for pickup in-store.

Perkins is famous for its fluffy buttermilk pancakes, which are a tasty breakfast year-round and especially on December 25. As well as its famous breakfast menu, on Christmas Day, Perkins will introduce a limited special menu that will include a turkey dinner with pie, with the option for seconds. Sonic Drive-In
Sonic Drive-In’s hours and days of operation are set by its individual franchise owners. However, many will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, according to Country Living.
Applebee’s
Most Applebee’s locations will be open on Christmas Eve, and a handful may be open on Christmas Day, but you’ll need to call your local location to know for sure.
Shoney’s
According to TripSavvy, Shoney’s, which has locations in 17 states, will be open for Christmas and offering a Christmas Day buffet for dinner. Call ahead to your local venue to confirm its participation.
