Tacos seem pretty simple on the surface. You take a corn tortilla or shell, fill it with seasoned meat and top it with chopped cilantro and onions or grated cheese, salsa and sour cream for an American-style meal. That’s all!
But can tacos be made into something extraordinary? Absolutely. Just look at these birthday tacos. If you think cake is good on your big day, wait until you try this.
What Exactly Are Birthday Tacos?
OK, birthday tacos are a platter of many tacos arranged in the shape of the birthday person’s age. For example, a giant 20 made up of closely placed tacos. You can also display all of the fixings, like lime wedges, cilantro, queso and chopped onion between the numbers for maximum impact.

All you need are the typical taco supplies you probably already have in the pantry and refrigerator. Just fill up the shells in the shape of your loved one’s age, and voila. You don’t even need a candle (though it wouldn’t hurt).
