Along with traditional candy canes and carefully decorated sugar cookies, bark is one of those beloved treats that announces the arrival of the holiday season. It’s a cookie swap staple and a blank canvas for creativity.
Of course, we’re partial to bark that’s loaded with chopped cookies or candy bits. That’s why we’re so excited to reveal this Oreo bark for the 2020 holiday season!
(It may sound similar, but this is not to be confused with Peppermint Bark Oreos.)
What Is Oreo Bark?
This new Oreo bark is a collaboration between Oreo, of course, and Frankford Candy, a company that makes all kinds of holiday candy. The Oreo bark is sold in 2.5-ounce boxes bearing the familiar Oreo logo and decorated with snowflakes. It also comes in two flavors:
- cookies ‘n cream
- peppermint
The peppermint is a two-layered affair with a dark chocolate-dipped base and white chocolate on top, blanketed with a slew of crushed Oreo cookies and minty red-and-white candy. If you’re not crazy about peppermint, the cookies ‘n cream version is essentially the same minus those candy cane shards.

We’d never sneer at store-bought sweets, but if you live for holiday baking, you’re going to need the recipe for our version of Oreo peppermint bark!
