We love Oreos. It’s a fact that they’re the most delicious cookie on the planet! Not to mention, it seems like every time I turn around, there’s a new flavor on the shelves that I absolutely must get my hands on. For the 4th of July, we were graced with Red, White and Blue Oreos and not too long ago, we heard about the Maple Creme Oreos for fall.
What’s in store for the 2020 holiday season, you ask?
Gingerbread Oreos Are Officially Here
Besides peppermint, the go-to flavor of the winter holidays is definitely gingerbread. While it’s not for everyone (molasses is a hit or miss), those who enjoy it, really enjoy it. I, myself, am one of those people. I crave gingerbread from November 1 until December 31. It’s not too sweet, and the mix of spices is quite unlike any other baked good I’ve ever had.
According to the package, these Oreos have a “gingerbread flavored cookie” and “creme with crunch sugar crystals.” How insanely delicious does that sound? Just one bite is gingerbread heaven! On top of all that, they come in five cute designs. In fact, the Oreos might just give classic gingerbread men a run for their money this season.
This isn’t the first time Oreo has tried the gingerbread flavor. But previous Gingerbread Oreos featured gingerbread-flavored creme, where this version focuses on the cookie itself. If you ask me, that makes a lot more sense!
Where Can I Buy the Gingerbread Oreos?
They’ve been spotted at Walgreens, so make sure to check your local store ASAP. These are a limited edition flavor, so you’ll want to jump on the gingerbread train as quickly as you can. I imagine once they start to appear at more retail locations, they definitely won’t last very long! You wouldn’t want to miss dunking one of these sweet treats in some milk, now would you?
