Starbucks Has a Spooky-Good Secret Menu Frankenstein Frappuccino You NEED to Try

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with Starbucks’ official drinks. We love the new Kiwi Starfruit Refresher and pretty-as-can-be Pink Drink, but there’s just something fun about the secret menu. Once you get a taste of these lesser-known custom drinks, there’s no going back.

The secret menu is also a great source of seasonal inspiration. We’ve shared how to order a Caramel Apple Refresher and Jack Skellington Frappuccino, and now we have a new one to add to your list: the Frankenstein Frappuccino. It’s delicious as it is spooky!

How to Order a Frankenstein Frappuccino

We have Totally the Bomb to thank for this eerie seasonal treat. First, you order a Grande Matcha Frappuccino. Next, ask for peppermint to use as the sweetener. Mint and matcha is a winning combination, for sure. Now, ask for java chips to be added to the mix. The drink then gets finished off with a mocha drizzle on top.

Pro tip: make sure the mocha goes on top and not along the sides of the cup because you want to see all the Frankenstein green showing through.

The end result will look and taste like mint chocolate chip ice cream, with a hint of green tea and mocha in the background. This is hands-down one of our favorite chocolate and mint desserts!

Keep Your Barista in Mind

Unless you’re a Starbucks regular, ordering from this coffee chain can seem complicated. It’s hard enough to remember all the details for your drink—and on top of that, there’s a right way to place your order.

This is especially true for secret menu drinks. Whether you order at the drive-thru or in-person, keep your barista (and fellow customers) in mind. Starbucks baristas aren’t trained on secret menu drinks, so you’ll have to have the recipe ready at the window or counter—or order ahead on the app.
