There are some ingredients that belong together in cocktails: gin and tonic, Jack Daniels and cola, vodka and cranberry. The most tropical of all is rum and pineapple, and now Malibu has made it easy by selling packs with coconut rum and pineapple juice.
It’s suddenly so easy to make pina coladas!
If you can’t get enough of that smooth coconut and pineapple flavor combo, you’ll also love these refreshing pina colada-inspired recipes.
What’s in Each Pina Colada Pack?
The combo packs come with a 1.75-liter bottle of Malibu coconut rum and a 64-ounce can of Dole pineapple juice, so you’ll be set for awhile. This handy kit will also save you from having to buy a separate mixer. Genius!
You can mix two parts Malibu rum and one part pineapple juice and serve it on the rocks for a simple, icy drink. Blend the two ingredients with ice for a boozy slush like you might find at a beach bar. You can top with a colorful paper umbrellas, or use a chic umbrella straw.
Purists can make pina coladas from scratch, of course, but it’s a little extra work. You’ll need rum, pineapple juice and coconut cream. And if you’re going the extra mile, add a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry for a garnish.
Where Do I Find These Cocktail Packs?
These Malibu cocktail packs have been spotted at Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s and even some local liquor stores, so be on the lookout if you want to snag one. It also appears to be available for delivery via Drizly, so that’s something we’ll be looking into. Cheers!
