When it’s Dairy Queen’s birthday, we all have good reason to celebrate. This chain is going all out for its 80th birthday, to fans’ benefit.
First, DQ had its BOGO 80-cent Blizzard deal, which we certainly appreciated. Now, these birthday-celebrating ice cream legends have blessed us with a gorgeous, extremely limited edition treat: the Piñata Party Blizzard.
What’s in This Birthday Blizzard?
Well, it’s perfect for DQ fans and cake lovers alike. The soft serve is DQ’s classic vanilla soft serve, but it’s pink for this special occasion. It’s loaded with cake pieces, cake batter pieces, sprinkles and whipped cream, and the center of the Blizzard is icing in multicolored star shapes.

How Soon Can I Get One?
OK, here’s the deal—they’re not your typical monthly or seasonal Blizzard. Turns out this spectacular creation will only be available from June 18 through June 21 (at least at this DQ), so if you have your heart set on one, mark your calendar.
It seems like some locations aren’t quite holding to those dates, though, so it’s worth giving your DQ a call to see if they’re offering it right now. You can also head down to your local Sonic—they’re offering cake batter shakes all season long. Of course, it’s easy to make your own “fan food” with our Dairy Queen copycat recipes.
