By now, we’ve all seen commercials for the “Impossible Whopper” at Burger King. For a while, ads seemed to be running on every station—the one with various unsuspecting Burger King fans realizing they’d eaten a plant-based burger.
There’s no denying that meatless “meat” options have gained popularity, and that applies to fast food, too. Now, Burger King’s doing the “Impossible” for breakfast, with a brand-new meatless Croissan’wich.
What’s in the Impossible Croissan’wich?
This Croissan’wich takes the concept of the Impossible Whopper and applies it to breakfast food. The Impossible Croissan’wich features a croissant for a bun, as well as American cheese, egg, and plant-based Impossible breakfast sausage. This thing looks totally drool-worthy!
Burger King tested this Croissan’wich at certain locations earlier this year, and we’re not surprised it earned a nationwide launch. Plus, it’s a great time to be trying meatless options: Dunkin’ has its own version of this with the Beyond Sausage Sandwich, Subway has an “Impossible Meatball” sub and Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s both have Beyond Meat options for burgers and breakfast.
Psst: We found the best chains for plant-based eaters.
When Can I Try One?
It’s on menus right now! The Impossible Croissan’wich has officially been rolled out across the United States. And it gets better… if you use the Burger King app, you’ll be able to get one for free as long as you spend $1. In other words, pick up a BK Cafe coffee for a mere $1.19, and enjoy a free Croissan’wich.
You’ll have to hurry if you want to take advantage of that promotion, though, since the King’s only giving away 100,000 of them across the country. This treat is here for a limited time, so it’s time to drive to BK and chow down!
