Egg Cooker
From whipping up deviled eggs to your favorite scrambled egg recipes, you can hard-boil, soft-boil, scramble and poach eggs in this nifty egg cooker. All you need to do is add water, place your eggs in the cooker and press start. (psst—we’ve got plenty of recipes that use up leftover hard-boiled eggs, too.)
Why it made our list: Maggie Knoebel, a culinary assistant in our Test Kitchen, and her family adore this egg cooker. She claims her parents are obsessed with this find.
Egg Coddlers
Perfect for poached egg buddha bowls and egg-topped avocado toast, this pretty pack of 4 coddlers makes poached eggs the right way. Or feel free to enjoy a poached egg right out of the coddler. Whichever you prefer. They’re dishwasher and microwave safe, too.
Why it made our list: Not one, but two of our Test Kitchen staff love these egg coddlers. James Schend, our deputy food editor, recommends it not only for eggs but for individual-sized brownies and cakes, too.
Egg Ring
Say goodbye to messy, egg-splattered pans. This egg ring prevents them from taking up the whole pan. Plus, it creates perfectly round eggs each and every time. (You can even use it to make perfectly round pancakes, too.)
Why it made our list: Catherine Ward, our prep kitchen manager, swears by this egg ring. She loves using it for bagel and English muffin breakfast sandwiches.
Slotted Turner
Use this slotted turner to flip and cook different types of eggs. Sarah Farmer, our culinary director, explains the differences between spatulas and turners: “Turners are for cooking. They feature angled heads which allow you to get to the bottom of the food in a pan for flipping. Spatulas are for prep work and baking. They are straight, not bent, and allow you to scrape food from the sides of bowls. If you’re flipping eggs, a turner is the best tool for the job.”
Why it made our list: Sarah always reaches for this slotted turner. Why? She thinks it has the right amount of bend and flexibility to give eggs a gentle lift. Plus, the edge is thin, which makes it easy to slide underneath the food you’re whipping up.
Egg Tray
This egg tray makes deviled eggs look a whole lot more tempting (which we didn’t think was possible). You’ll be sure to see a few sneaky grabs at this beautiful tray. Plus, it holds up to twenty-four eggs, making it the perfect size for the appetizer table.
Why it made our list: Our Test Kitchen raves over this Le Creuset egg platter. Not only does it display eggs beautifully, but it’s easy to clean with its nonstick interior.
Frying Pan
It’s no surprise that a frying pan is an essential kitchen tool, especially for cooking eggs. So what’s special about this one? Well, we’ve got the inside dish. This nonstick pan evenly cooks any dish with its stainless steel bottom. Nicole Doster, one of our senior editors, claims she doesn’t even need to coat the pan with oil because of its durable nonstick coating!
Why it made our list: Nicole can’t help but rave about this frying pan. She uses it on the regular to make scrambles, over-easies and sunny side ups.
Egg Timer
No need to reach for your phone timer while you’re boiling eggs. This egg timer has a setting for any boiled egg you’re dreaming of: soft, medium or hard-boiled. Not only that, but this timer includes a piercer, which prevents the eggshell from cracking while boiling. What a two-for-one steal.
Why it made our list: James Schend, our deputy food editor, can’t get over how simple it is to peel hard-boiled eggs after piercing it with this handy egg tool.
Poached Egg Pods
These egg pods will help you achieve perfectly poached eggs each time, guaranteed (especially for eggs Benedict recipes). On top of that, you can get a set of two egg pods for less than $10. They’re adorable, effective and affordable. What more could you ask for?
Why it made our list: Rashanda Cobbins, one of our food editors, claims these egg pods make poaching eggs a breeze. She grabs them whenever she’s craving poached eggs at home.
Immersion Blender
Looking to make a silky, smooth deviled egg filling? No problem. An immersion blender can do the trick.
Why it made our list: This blender, in particular, was voted our best immersion blender. Be sure to check out our immersion blender buying guide for more helpful buying tips, too.
Pressure Cooker Egg Rack
Add this egg cooking tool to your list of pressure cooker accessories. This egg rack is our go-to pick for evenly pressure-cooked eggs. It even drains excess oil and grease away while they’re cooking.
Why it made our list: Catherine loves that this rack prevents eggs from rattling together or cracking. Her eggs come out without a dent every time!
