Zapp’s Is Now Making Fried Pickles That Are Coated in Voodoo Spice

There’s a special place in our hearts for fried food, especially at the fair. That’s where to find all kinds of food that you’d never even think to deep-fry (like ice cream and candy bars). There’s something about that greasy crunch that makes every food better! Well, even though most fairs around the country are converting to giant drive-thrus for the summer, that doesn’t mean the excitement and wonder has disappeared.

You’ve heard of fried pickles, but now let us introduce you to Voodoo-Battered Fried Pickles.

What Is This Spicy Snack?

You’ve likely had Zapp’s famous potato chips. The Louisiana chip company, which has been around since 1985, knows its way around great flavors, including Voodoo, Mesquite BBQ, Salt & Vinegar, Evil Eye, Spicy Cajun Crawtator and a few other lively Louisiana classics. For their latest and greatest snack, they’ve taken Voodoo spice and thrown it into a batter specifically for fried pickles.

The fried snack comes frozen and ready to pop in your oven ASAP. Instagram user @junkfoodadventures shared a peek at the fun and funky box design:

Not only that, but Zapp’s is making frozen Boudin Balls and Pimento Cheese-Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers as well. The spicy snacks will all remind your taste buds of that lively Louisiana style.

Where Can You Buy Zapp’s Fried Pickles

For starters, @junkfoodadventures found this snack at Harris Teeter, but that’s not the only place they’re available. The Voodoo-Battered Fried Pickles, as well as other Zapp’s snacks, can be found at some Walmart locations. Looks like a box comes in under $5, so they won’t be breaking the bank. This is the perfect snack to enjoy while watching Netflix!
