We’re all looking for fresh ideas for dinner right now—and the idea of fast-food takeout sounds delightful. No prep work. No dishes to wash! We’re definitely on board with this. You might want to hang tight, though. Taco Bell will be releasing Flamin’ Hot Doritos Locos Tacos any day now.
What Is the Flamin’ Hot Doritos Locos Taco?
From what we’ve seen, the brand-new tacos feature a spicy Flamin’ Hot Doritos-inspired taco shell filled with seasoned beef, lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese. This isn’t the first time Taco Bell has showcased Doritos flavors on their menu. Both Cool Ranch and Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos were offered last year, but got cut with this menu change. Based on the comments being shared on social media, it’s safe to say people are pumped for the Flamin’ Hot taco release!
While there hasn’t been an official announcement from Taco Bell, some customers have shared that their local stores already have the Flamin’ Hot Doritos Locos Tacos! If only they’d bring back Nacho Fries, too.
When Can You Buy This Spicy Taco?
The good news is that Taco Bell has confirmed that this is a real menu item. The bad news is we don’t know exactly when it will be released. There are internet rumblings that the Flamin’ Hot Doritos Locos Tacos could be slated for a nationwide release as soon as April 16, but Taco Bell has not confirmed that. We are on official stand-by—and we’ll update you as soon as we know more.
For now, make sure you know how to order from Taco Bell during the COVID-19 outbreak.
