Ina Garten Is Dropping a New Comfort Food Cookbook, and We’ve Got All the Details

No one knows their way around a kitchen quite like our favorite celebrity chefs. Julia Child pioneered TV’s first cooking show, The French Chef, and Ina Garten has been baking her way into our hearts since The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook made its debut in 1999. We’ve subscribed to Ina Garten’s cooking tips for years, and she’s about to drop some knowledge on us.

Ina Garten’s new cookbook will be in stores (and in our collection) soon. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

It Officially Has a Name!

The last we heard from Ina Garten in the books aisle was Cook Like a Pro, which was released in October of 2018. This time around, Ina Garten has dubbed her new cookbook Modern Comfort Food, which brings us new comfort food recipes to suit the modern palate (and the modern kitchen).

The cookbook includes 85 recipes made to satisfy, all the way from nostalgic childhood favorites, like Cheddar and Chutney Grilled Cheese and Smashed Hamburgers with Caramelized Onions, to dinners like Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas.

Ina Garten has been hinting at the new cookbook for some time, even releasing official images on her Instagram. The Banana Rum Trifle is a dessert in Modern Comfort Food, and we can confirm: it does look good enough to eat.

When Can We Get Our Hands on It?

Modern Comfort Food is available for preorder on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble right now. The hardcover retails around $35, and the Kindle version will cost you half that, at $17. Modern Comfort Food will be published by Celadon Book and is set to release on October 27, 2020.

If that’s too long to wait, you can always catch Dishing with Julia Child on PBS. We know we will be!
