One of Taco Bell’s most notable fast food power moves was the introduction of the ever-coveted Nacho Fries. They instantly became a crowd favorite and were the chain’s biggest launch of all time. However, they didn’t stick around for long and left the menu in the blink of an eye every year since they were added to the menu. In 2019, they even teased us with Nacho Fries twice.
Now, we have the official 2020 date for the relaunch of legendary Nacho Fries! Starting January 30, you can get your hands on the Nacho Fries you crave all year long. This year, though, Taco Bell is putting a new spin on our favorite menu item.
Do you know how Taco Bell got its name?
2020’s Nacho Fries Will Be Legendary
A spokesperson for Taco Bell announced an “all-new flavor innovation that’s sure to receive critical and fan acclaim.” Naturally, Taco Bell is going to tease us for a bit longer, but we can imagine the new Nacho Fries may be dressed in different seasoning or with a slew of all-new sauces. Either way, we guarantee we’ll be buying out the whole inventory.
Nine Taco Bell menu items were eliminated from the menu last year. Here’s what changed.
Will Last Year’s Deals Be Making a Comeback?
Taco Bell is pretty hush-hush this time around, but last year, all three forms of the fries were on the menu. That included the basic fries with cheese sauce for $1.29, Supreme Nacho Fries for $2.49 and BellGrande Nacho Fries for $3.49. The Supreme and BellGrande came with the same beef, nacho cheese, tomatoes and sour cream as the previous year in 2018.
There was also a $5 Box featuring Nacho Fries, a Doritos Locos Taco, a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito and a medium drink. We’ve got our fingers crossed these specials will be returning for 2020.
Can’t sacrifice Taco Bell for your New Year’s resolution? Try the healthiest Taco Bell menu items.
Still, we’re pretty stoked that the fries are back, since their flavor and crunch vaulted them into our list of top fast-food fries soon after they launched.
It’s not a permanent return, so says the unspoken rule of Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries. At least we’ve got the winter to warm up with our favorite prodigal menu item.
