You Can Now Buy a Customized KitchenAid Mixer—and It’s All We Want for Christmas

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus—and he works at KitchenAid! This year the beloved brand has answered our holiday wishes with a new customization tool. That’s right—you can finally design the stand mixer of your dreams. And it couldn’t be simpler. Here’s what you need to know.

Learn all about KitchenAid with these surprising facts.

How Does It Work?

The new tool lets users customize every inch of their stand mixer—everything from the color to the attachments are under your control. To get started, visit the KitchenAid customization page.

Step 1: Pick out the color

There are 30 hues to choose—ranging from classics like Empire Red and Twilight Blue to funky finds like Birds of Paradise (a former color of the year!) and Ocean Drive. There are also a few matte options to choose from if KitchenAid’s signature shiny glaze isn’t your style.

Step 2: Amp up the trimband

You can choose to engrave the trimband of your mixer with a simple message. This option is perfect for gifting. I mean just think of how cute it would be to give a newlywed couple a mixer with their initials and ceremony date etched right in. Or, for the ultimate #TreatYourselfGift, trademark a mixer with your own name.

Step 3: Choose a bowl

A standard stainless steel bowl is included with every order. But they also have ceramic options, many of which are imprinted with pretty textures or patterns, like these beauties released earlier this year.

Step 4: Add attachments

Select as many attachments as your heart desires—and there are 23 options to choose from! Pick up pasta cutters, a sifter and scale attachment, a juicer and more. If you’re having trouble deciding, check out our attachment guide here.

Step 5: Check out

Once all of your selections have been finalized, you can add the mixer to your cart and checkout. You can also download a PDF of your creation to slip into a card for the lucky recipient or share your design as a gift hint to that special someone.

How Much Does It Cost?

It depends. The base model—which is an Artisan Series 5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, by the way—will set you back just under $380. If you pick a custom bowl, attachments (or both!), you’ll have to factor the cost of each addition into your total purchase price.
