Here’s Every New Christmas Movie You Can Watch on Netflix This Year

Netflix has an impressive suite of holiday content, and thankfully for us, they just keep ’em comin’ every holiday season. This year, Netflix is releasing over 20 holiday-themed movies and shows, which is perfect, because there’s something special about curling up with your favorite humans (or pets) and watching Christmas movies on Netflix.

Starting November 1, Netflix began releasing its new holiday content. We’ve rounded up all the new movies and shows you can watch this season—and if you’re clamoring for more Christmas, check out all the Hallmark Christmas movies that are coming out this season, too.

Netflix Originals

Holiday in the Wild

Streaming: November 1st
Starring Kristin Davis, Rob Lowe
This romantic Christmas movie follows the story of a woman who goes on a solo adventure to Africa following the end of her marriage. Will she find love? Probably—the trailer shows a shirtless Rob Lowe.

Let It Snow

Streaming: November 8th
Starring Isabela Merced, Shameik Moore, Kiernan Shipka
On Christmas Eve, a snowstorm hits and brings far more than cold temps to this small town. Based on a novel, Let It Snow follows the love lives of several high school seniors through the holiday season.

The Great British Baking Show: Holidays: Season 2

Streaming: November 8th
Starring Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith
On your mark—get set—hit the play button and revel in the beauty of The Great British Baking Show. Following the success of last year’s holiday specials, the series is releasing another suite of holiday-themed mini competitions for fans to enjoy. We’ll take any opportunity to learn the baking secrets Paul Hollywood keeps behind those beautiful blue eyes.

Klaus

Streaming: November 15th
Starring Jason Schwartzman, J.K. Simmons, Rashida Jones
This animated film follows a failing postman as he forms an unlikely friendship with a toy maker living in isolation up north. Could this film be Santa’s origin story? That’s the goal—this is definitely one to check out this season, as it’s already getting Oscar buzz.

Holiday Secrets

Streaming: November 20th
Starring Corinna Harfouch, Christiane Paul, Svenja Jung
This German drama miniseries follows three women and spans three generations, documenting three Christmases from wildly different women connected by blood. It explores the deep roots of family and how much can be passed on (or ignored) over the years.

The Knight Before Christmas

Streaming: November 21st
Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Whitehouse
If you loved last year’s The Princess Switch, you’ll be first-to-stream this year’s Vanessa Hudgens Christmas title, The Knight Before Christmas. This film follows a knight who gets transported to the future and befriends a modern science teacher—think Outlander, but family-friendly.

Nailed It! Holiday!: Season 2

Streaming: November 22nd
Starring Nicole Byer
Haven’t watched Nailed It! yet? Now’s the time to dive in—this hilarious series follows amateur bakers as they attempt to recreate those enviable Insta-worthy baking creations, often to no avail. The holiday series is just as fun as the original, so check this series out when you need a break between holiday cookie baking sessions.

Super Monsters Save Christmas

Streaming: November 26th

Merry Happy Whatever

Streaming: November 28th
Starring Dennis Quaid, Bridgit Mendler, Ashley Tisdale
This dark comedy follows Matt, a man spending the holidays with his girlfriend’s family that can’t quite be described as “welcoming.” The series is only eight episodes, but don’t be surprised if this one expands to cover new seasons and families if it performs well with the Netflix audience.

Sugar Rush Christmas

Streaming: November 29th
More baking competitions creating holiday specials? We’ll take it. Sugar Rush tries its hand at Christmas baking this year, debuting its holiday-themed episodes at the end of November. Thank goodness it drops on a Friday—you’ll need all day Saturday to binge.

Santa Girl

Streaming: November 1st

Streaming: November 4th
Starring Bonnie Somerville, Shelley Long, Jordan Bridges
Can’t find a date to bring home for Christmas? Just hire one! What could go wrong? This film follows a recently dumped Hillary as she tries to find a replacement fiance to introduce to her mother. She does, but pretty soon she’s not quite sure if she’s pretending to be in love anymore.
