DQ Released a Cotton Candy Dipped Cone and It Feels Like Summer Again

If you love ice cream as much as we do, you’ve been keeping up on Dairy Queen’s specialty items this year. It all started with the summer menu featuring decadent Cupfections, and they’ve been rolling out the goods ever since. We even got to see the return of the coveted butterscotch dipped cone this year, along with the debut of the Dreamsicle dipped cone.

Now, Dairy Queen has rolled out a cone to bring back the memories of summer nights, carnivals and all the cotton candy you can handle. Introducing the Cotton Candy Dipped Cone!

Here’s What We Know

We got a sneak peek at the brilliant blue cone courtesy of Instagram user @RymalRoadDQ, who uploaded a snapshot of the menu. The post was intended to highlight the Blizzard BOGO deal, but fans were hypnotized by the mysterious new flavor on the board to the left. The Cotton Candy Dipped Cone is presumably vanilla ice cream dunked in a creamy candy coating. According to @RymalRoadDQ, the cone is currently being tested but received very high praise in that location.

So When Can We Snag a Cotton Candy Cone?

Unfortunately, there’s no telling when this treat will be in stores. Right now, the cones are only available in specific locations in Canada, and Dairy Queen has kept pretty mum about their release so far. The cones may only be released in Canada, as it’s their testing site, but we’ve got our fingers cross that the Cotton Candy Dipped Cone makes its rounds through the U.S., too.

Only time will tell, but until then, enjoy a spoonful of our very favorite at-home ice cream dessert recipes.
