Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes Are Returning Early This Year!

Starbucks launched its famous Pumpkin Spice Latte 16 years ago, and it’s become the most popular seasonal beverage in Starbucks history. (Don’t miss our copycat recipe!) We’re pleased to announce that this sweet-and-frothy fall drink is coming back early. Yes, you heard that right! Time to grab your travel mug (or order this giggle-worthy thermos) and head to Starbucks ASAP.

On Tuesday morning, @Starbucks News made a pretty cryptic announcement on Twitter revealing that the Pumpkin Spice Latte will be in stores on August 27 (less than a week away). The release will kick off the fall season one day earlier than last year, though some fans argued that with 90-degree weather outside they weren’t quite ready for the hot drink. Luckily, Starbucks confirmed that you can always order the PSL on ice.

Don’t forget—You can also get that sticky sweet syrup in just about any beverage you buy from Starbucks. Other popular variations include the Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte, the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino and, if you’re looking for a kick of caffeine, ask for a little of the good stuff in your Americano for a small upcharge.

Since Starbucks launched several new pumpkin spice products last season, we’re excited to see what other surprises they may have in store for this year’s early fall celebration.

Don’t worry—Your fix is only a car ride away. Last year, grocery stores offered a bottled Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, flavored ground coffee, PSL K-Cups and even VIA Instant Lattes for those pumpkin lovers on-the-go.

There’s little doubt these seasonal treats will be making their way back into stores, but you can always curb that autumnal craving with Pillsbury’s Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Rolls and crunchy pumpkin-inspired Kit Kats.
