Lay’s Just Released Three New Chip Flavors—and They Sound Pretty Tasty

Unexpected flavors have come to be part of the fun of the potato chip experience. (Remember the batch of Lay’s chips inspired by regional flavors?) But you’ve never had a bag of Lay’s like this before. The chip maker has released not one, but three new flavors, and there’s something for everyone here.

What Are the New Chip Flavors?

The three new flavors include Electric Lime and Sea Salt, Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle and Beer Cheese Kettle-Cooked chips. So if you were on the fence between chips and another classic bar snack, like pickles or beer cheese dip, well, these new flavors might be the best of both worlds.

The Lay’s flavors are a collaboration with singer Bebe Rexha, and each chip is supposed to represent a different musical genre. The dill pickle flavor is inspired by hip-hop, the beer cheese pairs with rock music and the lime and sea salt evokes the feeling of listening to pop music. Well—that’s what the packaging says. You’ll have to taste-test the chips to see for yourself!

When Will the New Flavors Be Available?

If any of the three new options has piqued your interest, you won’t have to wait long for them to hit store shelves. The three Lay’s flavors will be for sale starting March 4, according to the company. With the spring months fast approaching, the new chip options could be a great option to bring to a cookout or other spring party.

I’m particularly excited about the Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle chips—I think they’ll pair perfectly with a hamburger.
