KitchenAid has done it again. After launching a vintage-inspired product line back in September, the iconic brand is continuing its 100th Anniversary Celebration with another colorful collection: Queen of Hearts.
Psst: These are the best KitchenAid stand mixer attachments you can buy.
What is Queen of Hearts?
While September’s collection payed homage to the past (the Misty Blue color was inspired by KitchenAid’s first-ever stand mixer!), Queen of Hearts is looking to the future.
The Queen of Hearts collection features a bold new color called Passion Red. Slightly different from KitchenAid’s other reds, Passion Red is a bright cherry hue. It’s fresh—yet elegant—and perfect for adding a pop of color to your kitchen.
“The 100 Year Limited Edition Queen of Hearts Collection in Passion Red reflects the love and passion that home cooks have for making and aims to inspire creativity in the kitchen for the next 100 years,” said Nikki Lockett, U.S. Marketing Leader for KitchenAid Small Appliances in a press release.
Are you making these common KitchenAid mixer mistakes?
What tools are in the new collection?
Stand mixers
Arguably KitchenAid’s most iconic product, there are two limited editions stand mixers available in Passion Red.
Both mixers are 5-quart, and they include limited edition features, such as the 100-year logo, a monochromatic trim decorated with mini hearts and a custom Power Hub. The main difference is the bowls. One features a steel bowl and a pouring shield ($400), while the other includes a glass bowl and flex edge beater ($500). Both models are available starting April 1, 2019, at KitchenAid.com and at select retailers.
KitchenAid was named our Best Loved stand mixer brand. Here’s why.
Other kitchen tools
If you can’t justify a new stand mixer (although trust me, I’m trying to find a good reason to buy one in the new hue!) there are plenty of other products available in the lust-worthy Queen of Hearts collection. KitchenAid is also releasing a 2-speed hand blender ($55), food chopper ($55), 7-speed hand mixer ($75), kettle ($85) and toaster ($85) in the Passion Red hue. You can find these products starting April 1, 2019, at KitchenAid.com and at select retailers.
And, if you have a kitchen remodel coming up, consider the Queen of Hearts commercial-style range ($7,499).
But wait…there’s more!
If you’re still not sold, KitchenAid has one more surprise in store.
Just like when the Misty Blue collection was released, KitchenAid is offering 100 numbered units of the Queen of Hearts stand mixer with glass bowl. These keepsakes are available exclusively on KitchenAid.com—and we guarantee that they won’t last long.

Making meatballs can be tough on your wrists—especially when whipping up a big batch. Save your energy by letting a stand mixer do some of the work. Simply toss the breadcrumbs, eggs, seasonings and any other add-ins from your favorite recipe into the mixing bowl. Use the paddle attachment on a low speed to combine the ingredients. Then, add the meat until mixture is lightly but thoroughly incorporated.

Stuffed shells are a comfort food classic, but they can be tedious to assemble. Make the task easier by preparing the filling in your stand mixer. Blend the cheese, seasonings, egg and any other add-ins on a medium speed with the paddle attachment. Once combined, scoop the mixture straight from the bowl into the cooked shells.

No appetizer spread is complete without a good dip, but it takes time to chop and combine all of those ingredients. Use your stand mixer to speed up the process. When making spinach and artichoke dip, for example, mix together the cream cheese, mozzarella, seasonings and other base ingredients until smooth. Then, throw in the spinach, artichokes and other veggies. In just minutes you've made a creamy-yet-chunky dip that's ready to pop in the oven.

We know that scrambled eggs are super easy to make by hand. But when whipping up a big batch for company you'll appreciate your stand mixer's power. Simply crack the eggs into the mixing bowl, secure the whisk attachment, and add your desired amount of milk and seasonings. Blend for a minute or so until the eggs are fluffy and light.

Take the mess out of pulled pork by shredding the meat in your stand mixer. Use the paddle attachment and a low speed to tear apart warm meat. Just be sure to cut the roast into medium-sized pieces before attempting to shred it—placing a whole roast in the bowl will overwhelm your machine.

Meat loaf oftentimes requires that you mix the ingredients multiple times. When you use a stand mixer, you'll cut down on both prep time and dirtied dishes. Start by beating the eggs. Then add in the milk, bread and other ingredients. Finally, add the meat and mix well. With just one bowl you've made a hearty dinner.

Add extra flavor to your butter with herbs and spices. Just place softened butter in the mixer, add your seasonings, and let the mixer evenly incorporate. If you're feeling extra ambitious, make the butter from scratch by placing heavy cream in the stand mixer. Whip it on high speed until butter starts to form. Drain away any excess liquid, and that's it! You have fresh, homemade butter.
