Guess what! Your favorite foodie DIYers are opening another fun food establishment in Waco, Texas. Along with Chip and Joanna Gaines’ new Magnolia Table restaurant and Silos Baking Co., the couple will also open a coffee shop just down the block. I’m officially going on a road trip.
Here’s what we know so far
According to PEOPLE, the new coffee shop will open sometime this year. A Magnolia spokesperson, John Marsicano, gave some details in an interview:
“I can confirm that we will be breaking ground on our newest project, a coffee shop, early next month—our tentative plan is to open by year’s end,” Marsicano told PEOPLE. “An official name for the coffee shop has not yet been announced, but we’re excited to share more details in the coming weeks!”
It’s reported that the shop will open up at 418 S. Eighth St.; an easy walk from the Magnolia mecca.
What will they serve?
The menu is still being decided, but Marsicano told the Waco Herald-Tribune that there will be a full-service coffee bar, fresh-baked pastries and an assortment of teas. It’s almost guaranteed that the pastries will be from Silos Baking Co. down the road, but no promises yet. We’ll have to wait to see what deliciousness ensues in their latest Waco-based eatery. And who knows, maybe they’ll compete with the top coffee shop spot in Texas! But for now, these are the best coffee shops in every state.
