Whether you love Peeps or loathe them, you’ll be seeing a lot of this iconic brand on grocery store shelves soon. Luckily for loyal fans that can’t get enough of the sugar-coated, marshmallow treats, there’s a new product that’s just hit the breakfast aisle.
Psst! For the Peeps super fans, check out how to win a Peeps factory tour.
Hello, Peeps Cereal!
Peeps cereal has arrived, folks. This latest mash-up packs everything you know and love about Peeps into a sweet bowl of sugary Os. The cereal’s shape and texture are similar to Kellogg’s Apple Jacks—but it celebrates the season with a bright blend of springtime colors. We’re talking a deep shade of pink, sunny yellow and robin’s egg blue, making it great for kiddos—or adding a colorful twist to our top-rated cereal bar treats.
The new arrival is also filled to the brim with marshmallows. (An obvious win for Easter’s favorite dessert.) Though, fans are a tiny bit disappointed that the marshmallows aren’t bunny- and chick-shaped! But, you’ll forgive that after you taste your first spoonful.
Where can I find Peeps cereal?
This is a limited-edition product, so grab a box while you can. We recommend you start your search at Target, where the $3.99 limited edition cereal boxes were first spotted. While Kellogg’s has kept mum on how long these Peep-tastic cereals will be on shelves, we’re wagering that you’ve got a little while. Given that Easter falls late this year (not until April 21st), we’re planning to savor our Peeps cereal for many breakfasts to come.

What began with ice custard franchise Rita’s Italian Ice back in 2010 (a limited-time offering of Peeps-flavored Italian ice to celebrate the start of spring) has grown steadily, with Peeps-infused sweetness showing up everywhere.
In 2015, Just Born Quality Confections, the candy manufacturer that makes Peeps, partnered with Illinois dairy company Prairie Farms to release Peeps-flavored milk. Since then, the company has not only upped the ante on flavors for the original Peep, they have also cranked out product partnerships with the likes of Nabisco (hello, Peeps Oreos!), International Delight (Peeps coffee creamer!) and now Kellogg’s.
It’s also inspired some of our favorite recipes, including the expected desserts, but also a few unexpected twists—yes, Peeps-infused vodka is a thing.
